We do not put a price on a page, because a tree's price comes from where it is, how big it is and what stands under it. Here is what changes a quote, and the city rules to check before anyone cuts.
The estimate is free. Darren looks at the tree, then writes the quote. It comes in writing after the walk-through.
In the City of Memphis and unincorporated Shelby County, a home lot of ten acres or less is generally exempt from the tree permit. That comes from Shelby County's tree permit form, dated 2018, so check with the city before any work.
Germantown requires a permit for a public tree or a designated heritage tree, and to remove 15 percent or more of the live trees 10 inches across at chest height. Its code reaches further than that, so check with the city first.
Check with the town before any work.
MLGW asks homeowners not to attempt any tree work if power lines are near. To report a tree interfering with a line, call MLGW at 901-544-6549.
The cities do not pick up what a contractor leaves behind. Memphis requires tree trimmers to remove the waste they create, Germantown makes residents responsible for making sure their contractor removes all debris, and Collierville says contractor debris has to be disposed of privately.
Ask whoever quotes your job who is handling the wood and brush.
Check with your HOA too.
Call or text Darren with where the tree is and what stands under it. The estimate is free, and the quote comes in writing after he looks at the tree.
